Undas 2025 weekend: Rainy skies expected due to 3 weather systems

The country will experience rainy skies during the Undas 2025 weekend due to the combined effects of the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan), the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), and a low pressure area (LPA).

Based on PAGASA's special weather outlook, cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected on November 1, Saturday, All Saints' Day over Visayas, Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Aurora, and Zamboanga Peninsula due to the effects of the LPA and the ITCZ.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will be felt in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) while Cagayan Valley will have cloudy skies with rains.

The rest of the country may have partly cloudy to cloudy skies due to localized rain showers or thunderstorms.

On November 2, Sunday, All Souls Day, the ITCZ and LPA will continue to cause cloudy conditions with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over MIMAROPA, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, and Western Visayas.

Due to the northeast monsoon, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), and Aurora will experience cloudy skies with rains. Meanwhile, the Ilocos Region will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies. Afternoon or evening rain showers or thunderstorms are also possible.

Low pressure area

PAGASA said the LPA is less likely to become a tropical storm over the Undas holidays.

According to PAGASA's separate daily weather bulletin issued Friday afternoon, the LPA was embedded along the ITCZ and was affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

The weather bureau said the LPA was last seen 160 km west southwest of Coron.

Moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters may be expected over Northern Luzon and the eastern section of Central Luzon as the rest of the country will feel light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
