Storm surge warning up for 27 areas in Visayas, Mindanao
The state weather bureau on Sunday issued a storm surge warning for several areas in Visayas and Mindanao as Tropical Storm Tino entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Sunday morning.
At 2 p.m., PAGASA said a high risk of storm surge may occur in the next 48 hours in the following areas:
Estimated Storm Surge Heights: More Than 3 Meters- Eastern Samar
Estimated Storm Surge Heights: 2.1-3 Meters

- Northern Samar,
- Samar (Western Samar),
- Surigao Del Norte

- Iloilo,
- Leyte,

- Negros Oriental,
- Northern Samar,
- Samar (Western Samar),
- Siquijor,
- Sorsogon,
- Southern Leyte,
- Surigao Del Norte,
- Surigao Del Sur
“There is a possibility of inundation from rising sea water along with high waves in the low-lying coastal communities (in the above-stated provinces/ municipalities),” PAGASA said.
