Thunderstorm advisory up over Metro Manila, 8 Luzon provinces

Metro Manila and eight provinces in Luzon are expected to experience moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds Monday afternoon.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 12:03 PM, state weather bureau PAGASA said the following areas will be affected: 

• Metro Manila,
• Laguna, 
• Cavite, 
• Batangas,  
• Bulacan, 
• Pampanga, 
• Bataan, 
• Zambales (San Marcelino, Subic, Olongapo, Castillejos, San Antonio, San Narciso, San Felipe), and 
• Nueva Ecija (General Tinio, Gapan, San Isidro, Cabiao).

Meanwhile, General Nakar, Infanta, Polillo, Panukulan, Burdeos, Patnanungan, Calauag, Guinayangan, Tagkawayan, Quezon, Alabat, and Perez in Quezon, province and Tanay in Rizal province are currently experiencing moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds.

Affected residents are advised to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
