El Nido, northern Palawan under Signal No. 4 due to Typhoon Tino

The northernmost portion of Palawan is under Signal No. 4 as Typhoon Tino approaches the area, the weather bureau PAGASA said on Tuesday night.

According to its tropical cyclone bulletin on Tino at 11 p.m., PAGASA said the center of the typhoon was spotted based on all available data, including those from Busuanga Doppler Weather Radar over the coastal waters of Araceli, Palawan.

It was moving westward at a speed of 25 km/h with maximum sustained winds of 120 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 165 km/h

Signal No. 4 is raised over the northernmost portion of Palawan (El Nido, Taytay, Araceli), including Calamian and Cuyo Islands

Signal No. 3 is up over the following areas:

Luzon

• The northern portion of Palawan (Dumaran, San Vicente, Roxas)
• Visayas
• The northeasternmost portion of Aklan (Buruanga, Malay) and Antique, including the Caluya Islands

Signal No. 2 is hoisted over the following areas:

Luzon

• The southwestern portion of Romblon (Santa Fe, Santa Maria, Looc, Alcantara, Odiongan, San Jose, Ferrol), the southern portion of Oriental Mindoro (Bulalacao, Mansalay, Roxas, Bongabong),
• The southern portion of Occidental Mindoro (Magsaysay, San Jose, Rizal, Calintaan), and the central portion of Palawan (Puerto Princesa City) including Cagayancillo Islands

Visayas

• The rest of Aklan, the central and western portions of Capiz (Sapi-An, Ivisan, Ma-Ayon, Cuartero, Dumalag, Panitan, Sigma, Roxas City, Dao, Mambusao, Dumarao, Jamindan, Tapaz)
• The central and western portions of Iloilo (Calinog, New Lucena, Maasin, Oton, Pavia, Dueñas, Barotac Nuevo, Guimbal, Iloilo City, Tigbauan, Anilao, San Miguel, Leon, Mina, Santa Barbara, Barotac Viejo, Leganes, Dingle, Zarraga, Bingawan, Cabatuan, Alimodian, Dumangas, San Joaquin, San Rafael, San Enrique, Badiangan, Banate, City of Passi, Pototan, Lambunao, Lemery, Tubungan, Igbaras, Janiuay, Miagao)

• The rest of Occidental Mindoro, including Lubang Islands, the rest of Oriental Mindoro, the southern portion of Marinduque (Buenavista, Gasan)
• The rest of Romblon, the western portion of Masbate (Mandaon, Milagros, Balud, Cawayan, Placer, Esperanza)
• The southern portion of Palawan (Aborlan, Quezon, Narra, Sofronio Española), and Kalayaan Islands

Visayas

• Cebu, including Bantayan Islands, the rest of Iloilo, the rest of Capiz, Negros Oriental, and the rest of Negros Occidental
