President Rodrigo Duterte has signed a law declaring September 3 as a special working holiday in the Philippines.
In February, Duterte signed Republic Act 11216 declaring September 3 as a special working holiday to commemorate the surrender of Japanese Imperial Army General Tomoyuki Yamashita.
The surrender happened during World War II.
