Classes in some universities and schools will shift to alternative learning modalities on Thursday, March 19, 2026 in light of the nationwide transport strike.
Below are the announcements from some universities and schools:
- University of the Philippines Manila: Shift to remote learning and work
- Ateneo de Manila University: undergraduate and graduate classes of the Schools of Education and Learning Design, Humanities, Management, Science and Engineering, and Social Sciences to hold online classes
- University of Santo Tomas: Enriched virtual mode of instruction
- U.P. Integrated School: Shift to remote mode, classes to be conducted synchronously or asynchronously
- Polytechnic University of the Philippines: Classes will still be conducted through online modality
- University of the East Manila and Caloocan campuses: Classes will be conducted synchronously
- National Teachers College: All levels will transition to online synchronous sessions
- Lyceum of the Philippines University Manila: Classes will shift to an online modality
- De La Salle Araneta University: classes in Manila, Laguna will shift online, laboratory classes will remain onsite
- Adamson University: To shift to online synchronous classes
- Colegio de San Juan de Letran: Classes at all levels will shift to online modality
- De La Salle University Manila and Laguna campuses: All classes, including laboratory classes, will shift to online
- University of the Philippines Los Baños: Classes to shift to online mode
Other areas:
- Laguna: Modular or online learning, public and private, all levels
- Sto. Domingo, Albay: Synchronous or asynchronous learning, all levels, public and private
