Roxas Boulevard closure, traffic rerouting for Manila Bay cleanup set for July 7


A portion of the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard will be closed on Sunday, July 7, 2019, for cleanup activities at the Manila Bay, the Manila Police District said Saturday.

In an advisory, the MPD's Public Information Office said its Traffic Enforcement Unit will close to traffic the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard from Katigbak Drive to P. Ocampo for the "9th Manila Bay Clean-Up Run" starting from 3 a.m. to 7 a.m. on Sunday.

The MPD will also implement a traffic re-routing scheme for motorists to be affected by the closure of the said portion of Roxas Boulevard.

Motorists may take the following alternate routes:

- All vehicles coming from Bonifacio Drive intending to utilize the southbound lane of Roxas Blvd. shall turn left to P. Burgos Ave. to point of destination.

- All vehicles coming from three bridges (Jones, McArthur, Quezon) intending to utilize the southbound lane of Roxas Blvd. shall go straight to Taft Ave. to point of destination.

- All vehicles traveling westbound lane of P. Burgos Ave. shall turn right to Bonifacio Drive or make a U-turn to the eastbound lane of P. Burgos Ave. to point of destination.

- All vehicles traveling on westbound lane of TM Kalaw St. going to Roxas Blvd. shall turn left to MH del Pilar St. to point of destination.

- All vehicles traveling westbound lane of UN Ave. going to Roxas Blvd. shall turn left to MH del Pilar St. or utilize Roxas Blvd. service road to point of destination.

- All vehicles traveling westbound lane of Pres. Quirino Ave. intending to utilize the southbound lane of Roxas Blvd. shall turn left to Adriatico St. to point of destination.

- All vehicles traveling westbound lane of P. Ocampo St. intending to utilize the southbound lane of Roxas Blvd. shall turn left to F.B. Harrison to point of destination.

- All vehicles going to and from Manila Ocean Park/H20 Hotel and Manila Hotel shall utilize Katigbak Drive as access road.
