Pasig Ferry to suspend operations March 28-30


Pasig River Ferry operations would be suspended in observance of the Holy Week.

According to a Friday announcement, operations on all ferry stations would be temporarily closed from March 28 to March 30 - during Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Black Saturday.

Regular ferry operations would resume on April 1.

Meanwhile, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said the number coding scheme would be lifted on the same dates.

“Pag holiday naman, nagi-issue tayo ng exemption particularly [on] Thursday and Friday, so may suspension ng number coding sa Huwebes Santo at Biyernes Santo,” said MMDA Acting Chairman Attorney Don Artes during an interagency press conference on Friday.

However, bus lanes would remain limited to authorized vehicles despite the holidays. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
