Legarda flyover to be partially closed from July 6 to Nov. 6

Portions of the Legarda Flyover in Manila will be partially closed for four months starting Saturday, July 6, to make way for road repairs.

In an advisory on Thursday, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said it will be replacing 19 units of damaged expansion joints at the flyover.

Repairs will begin at the westbound lane heading to Legarda, requiring the closure of half of the lane's width.

Eastbound lanes going to Magsaysay Boulevard will also be partially closed and repaired.

The DPWH said the repair activity should be completed by Nov. 6.

"Motorists are advised of traffic congestion during the repair works, and to use possible alternative routes. Rest assured that the affected lanes will be opened immediately after completion," the advisory read. — Jiselle Anne Casucian/VDV/KG, GMA Integrated News
