Number coding scheme suspended in Quezon City on Monday, Aug 19

The Expanded Number Coding Scheme Quezon City will be suspended on August 19, Monday, in commemoration of Quezon City Day or the birth anniversary of the city’s namesake, the late president Manuel L. Quezon.

In his report on Super Radyo dzBB, Luisito Santos said this was based on the decision of the Quezon City government and in observance of the annual holiday in the city.

Vehicles whose license plates end in the numbers 1 and 2 will be allowed to travel along major roads and thoroughfares in Quezon City.

Republic Act 6741 declares Aug. 19 a special non-working holiday in Quezon City and Quezon province. —RF, GMA Integrated News
