Free LRT-2, MRT-3 rides for National ID holders on Sept. 16, 2025

National ID holders are entitled to free rides on the Light Rail Transit 2 (LRT-2) and the Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT-3) lines on Tuesday, September 16 in celebration of the International Identity Day, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) announced on Monday. 

Riders may ride for free from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. by presenting any format of the National ID: card, paper form, or digital. 

Further, the PSA said registration and issuance of National IDs in paper form, and assistance in accessing the Digital National ID, will be available to passengers at the MRT-3 Cubao and Taft stations.
