MMDA suspends number coding for Friday, Sept. 26, 2025 due to Opong 

The implementation of the number coding scheme for Metro Manila roads will be suspended on Friday, September 26 due to the threat of Severe Tropical Storm Opong, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced Thursday. 

In an advisory, the MMDA advised motorists to be extra cautious when driving and to remain updated with weather reports. 

Metro Manila is under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 as Opong maintains strength and is expected to make landfall over Northern Samar or northern portion of Eastern Samar, and over Bicol Region on Friday morning.
