Number coding suspended on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, All Saints' Day Eve —MMDA
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced Tuesday that the implementation of the expanded number coding scheme will be suspended on Friday, October 31, 2025, All Saints' Day Eve, a special non-working holiday.
In a Facebook post, MMDA said the number coding is automatically suspended during official and non-working holidays announced by Malacañang.
It also advised motorists to plan their route ahead.
The Expanded Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) or expanded number coding scheme implemented from 7 a.m.-10 a.m. and 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Mondays to Fridays except holidays, prohibits certain vehicles on Metro Manila roads depending on the last digit on their license plates: 1 and 2 (Mondays), 3 and 4 (Tuesdays), 5 and 6 (Wednesdays), 7 and 8 (Thursdays), and 9 and 0 (Fridays).
Exempted from the UVVRP are public utility vehicles, transport network vehicles services (TNVS), motorcycles, garbage trucks, government-marked vehicles, fuel trucks, media-marked vehicles, firetrucks, ambulances, and vehicles carrying perishable and/or essential goods.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
