UNDAS 2025: NLEX offers free towing for Class 1 vehicles until Nov. 3
The North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) has offered a free towing service for Class 1 vehicles until November 3, as heavy traffic was observed ahead of Undas 2025.
According to Jun Veneracion’s Thursday report on “24 Oras,” free towing to the nearest exit is available from 6 a.m. today until 6 a.m. on November 3 for those in the Class 1 category—smaller vehicle such as cars, jeepneys, vans, pick-ups and motorcycles—as accidents are expected when vehicles are bumper to bumper.
As of 5 p.m. today, heavy traffic was already observed 5 kilometers before reaching the Balintawak Toll Plaza.
A motorist said he had been stuck in traffic for 30 minutes, while another advised travelers to bring plenty of patience on the road.
The daily average of vehicles passing through NLEX, NLEX Connector, and Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway is around 450,000.
With Undas approaching, vehicles plying along NLEX are expected to increase by 25,000.
“Expectation antin is tuloy-tuloy lang ito hanggang mamayang gabi. May inaasahan din na volume tomorrow early morning hanggang afternoon,” said Robin Ignacio, NLEX AVP for Traffic Operations.
Currently, NLEX is implementing a counterflow to ease the traffic.
