Pasig River Ferry suspends ops for Traslacion 2026
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced that the Pasig River Ferry Service will suspend its operations on Friday and Saturday, January 9 and 10, in line with the observance of 2026 Traslacion.
In an earlier advisory on Thursday, MMDA said the waterborne service will only be from Guadalupe Station to PUP station, and PUP station to Kalawaan station only.
The limited operations are due to the No Sail Zone in some areas that will be affected by the annual celebration.
The MMDA released a later update announcing that they will instead temporarily suspend the entire Pasig River Ferry operations on both Friday and Saturday to ensure the safety of devotees joining the feast of Jesus Nazareno.
Meanwhile, operations were temporarily suspended on Thursday to prepare for the 2026 feast of the Jesus Nazareno.
The MMDA said the ferry service remains free to the public. — Jiselle Anne C. Casucian/RF, GMA Integrated News
