LIST: Canceled sea and bus trips as of January 15, 2026 due to TD Ada
Trips of sea vessels in several ports were canceled Thursday morning amid the inclement weather brought by Tropical Depression Ada.
In a social media post, the Philippine Ports Authority said the following trips are affected as of 8 a.m.:
Bicol
- Baseport Legazpi - Rapu-rapu Albay and Vice Versa
- Port of Castilla - Surigao.
- Bulan - Ticao Island, Masbate
- Matnog - Samar
Eastern Leyte/Samar
- Port of San Jose
- Port of San Isidro
- Port of Manguino-o
- Port of Calbayog
- Port of Catbalogan
- Port Guiuan
- Port of Borongan
- Port of Liloan (Liloan Ferry Terminal)
- Port of San Ricardo
- Port of Sogod
- Port of Saint Bernard
- Port of San Juan
- Port of Tacloban
- Liloan Municipal Port
Western Leyte/Biliran
- Port of Maasin: all trips bound to Surigao
- Padre Burgos: all trips bound to Surigao
- Port of Naval: all motorbancas
Surigao
- All trips
Masbate
- Kho Shipping Lines, Mobo, Masbate - Cebu City via Calbayog City and Vice Versa
- Kho Shipping Lines, Masbate City - Pilar, Sorsogon and Vice Versa
- Montenegro Shipping Lines (Fastcraft and RORO), Masbate City - Pilar, Sorsogon and Vice Versa
PITX also announced the cancelation of some scheduled bus trips as of 9 a.m. Here is the list:
GOLDTRANS
- 8:00 a.m.
- Oras, Leyte - Sea travel cancelled due to storm signal.
SILVER STAR
- 10 a.m., 11:00 a.m.
- Tacloban, Leyte - Sea travel cancelled due to storm signal.
Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) Signal No.1 is hoisted in 11 areas as Tropical Depression Ada slightly intensified while moving over the Philippine Sea east of Mindanao
In its 5 a.m. advisory, state weather bureau PAGASA said the center of Tropical Depression Ada was estimated at 385 kilometers east northeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur or 465 km east of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte.
It is packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center, gustiness of up to 70 km/h, and central pressure of 1000 hPa.
Ada is moving northwestward at the speed of 20 km/h with strong winds extend outwards up to 400 km from the center.
