LRT-2 to suspend ops from Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday

The Light Rail Transit 2 (LRT-2) will temporarily suspend its operations starting Maundy Thursday, April 2 until Easter Sunday, April 5, for its annual maintenance activities, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) announced on Monday. 

In an advisory, the LRTA said there will still be regular operations on Holy Wednesday, April 1. 

Following the four-day suspension of operations, LRT-2 will resume its operations at 5 a.m. on Monday, April 6.

“Pinapayuhan ang lahat ng pasahero na planuhin ng kanilang biyahe ng maaga at gumamit ng alternatibong transportasyon sa mga araw na pansamantalang walang operasyon,” the LRTA said in a statement. 

(All passengers are advised to plan their trips in advance and use alternative transportation on the days when operations are temporarily suspended.) 

The Manila Metro Rail Transit 3 also announced earlier that it will suspend operations from April 2 to 5 for its annual Holy Week maintenance activities. — Vince Angelo Ferreras/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
