There will be no issuance and processing of concessionary beep cards in train stations on Friday, March 20 in observance of Eid’l Fitr, the company behind beep card announced Monday.

In an advisory, the issuance will resume on Saturday, March 21.

The concessionary beep card grants a 50% discount to senior citizens, students, and persons with disabilities on their train fare.

Such cards are valid for four years from the date of issuance. However, students need to renew their cards every new school year.

Eligible patrons must present a valid ID and pay a one-time fee of P30 to avail of the concessionary beep card. —Vince Angelo Ferreras/RF, GMA Integrated News
