EDSA Magallanes flyover rehab during Holy Week 2026

The southbound EDSA Magallanes flyover is set to be closed during Holy Week for rehabilitation, the  Department of Public Works and Highways - National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) said on Monday.

In an advisory, the DPWH-NCR said a round-the-clock asphalt overlay works will be conducted on the portion of the EDSA Magallanes flyover from 10 p.m. on Holy Wednesday to 4 a.m. on Easter Sunday

“Magkakaroon ng pansamantalang full road closure sa bahagi ng southbound ng flyover, upang mabigyang daan ang asphalt works, at ang pagsasaayos ng mga expansion joints,” the DPWH-NCR said.

(There will be a temporary full road closure on the southbound portion of the flyover for asphalt works and the repair of expansion joints.)

“Mananatili namang bukas sa mga motorista ang bahagi ng northbound,” it added.

(The northbound portion will remain open to motorists.)

The DPWH-NCR said that the affected lanes will be reopened on schedule, ahead of the expected surge in traffic at the end of the Holy Week.

Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes, particularly the EDSA Service Road:

  • slightly veer right onto the EDSA Service Road before reaching the Magallanes Flyover
  • turn right onto Chino Roces Avenue and continue straight toward Waltermart Makati
  • turn left onto Antonio Arnaiz Avenue and proceed toward Osmeña Highway
  • turn left onto Osmeña Highway, then keep slightly right toward the Osmeña Highway–Magallanes Service Road
  • turn right onto EDSA heading toward Pasay
