To ensure safety and comfort, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Tuesday shared helpful travel tips for the Holy Week rush.

According to a report on Unang Balita, the LTFRB advised travelers to check their trip schedules and book in advance whenever possible.

The agency also urged the public to avoid last-minute travel.

Passengers were likewise reminded to bring all necessary documents, especially their tickets, before leaving.

Travelers are also encouraged to pack light to avoid inconvenience.

Meanwhile, the LTFRB reminded the public to ensure that the vehicles they use are authorized and legitimate.

In a separate advisory, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) reminded air travelers not to bring the following prohibited items:
  • Fireworks, flares, and explosives
  • Gasoline, diesel, paint, thinners, and other flammable liquids
  • Bleach, acids, poisons, pesticides, and cleaning chemicals
  • All matches and most lighters
  • Gas canisters (butane, camping fuel, torch lighters)
  • Hoverboards, e-scooters, or any rideable battery-powered vehicle

Meanwhile, power banks with a capacity of less than 100Wh are allowed. Travelers are advised to consult their airline for power banks with a capacity of 100Wh to 160Wh.

The following items are strictly prohibited:

  • Power banks exceeding 160Wh
  • Damaged, defective, or recalled batteries (e.g., bloated, leaking, or previously overheated units)
