MRT-3 continues normal operations amid EDSA rally

The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) will remain fully operational on Tuesday despite the ongoing protest at the People Power Monument in Quezon City.

"Despite the ongoing Iglesia ni Cristo rally at the EDSA People Power Monument, all MRT-3 stations—from North Avenue to Taft Avenue—remain open and fully operational to serve our commuters," the MRT-3 said in an advisory.

"Our station personnel and security teams are fully deployed across the line to maintain order, ensure passenger safety, and keep operations running smoothly," it added.

The protest site is located almost midway between the Santolan-Annapolis and Ortigas stations.

The MRT-3 serves 13 stations: North Avenue, Quezon Avenue, GMA-Kamuning, Araneta Center-Cubao, Santolan-Annapolis, Ortigas, Shaw Boulevard, Boni, Guadalupe, Buendia, Ayala, Magallanes, and Taft Avenue. — Vince Angelo Ferreras/VBL, GMA News
