Canceled sea trips on Aug. 8 due to Habagat

The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) on Saturday, August 8, announced several canceled sea trips due to inclement weather caused by the southwest monsoon or Habagat.

The PPA has announced the followed cancelled trips as of 8 a.m.:

PMO Batangas

  • Port of Batangas: Fastcraft, Montenegro Shipping Line, Batangas - Puerto Galera
  • Port of Batangas: Montenegro Shipping Line, Batangas - Odiongan
  • Port of Batangas: Starlite - Sibuyan, Cajiocan

PMO Mindoro

  • Port of Calapan: All fastcraft vessels
  • Port of San Jose: MV Saint Augustine de Ubon, Port of San Jose to Semirara to Caluya to Libertad
  • Port of Lubang: "No sail policy by LGU Lubang"

PMO Bohol

  • TMO Getafe: Sunriser II, Getafe to Cordova, Cebu

PMO Palawan

  • TMO Cuyo: All trips of vessels with 35 GT and below
  • Baseport Puerto Princesa: MV D' Asean Journey - PPS to Cuyo

PMO Western Leyte/ Biliran

  • TMO-Maasin: MV Oceanjet 88 of Ocean Fast Ferries Inc. (Cebu - Maasin - Surigao)

The PPA clarified that it does not cancel trips. However, if the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) issues a "no sail policy," ships in affected areas are prohibited from sailing. — VDV, GMA News
