No classes, gov't work in Manila on Jan. 9 for Traslacion 2019

The city government of Manila on Friday announced that classes in public and private schools will be suspended on January 9 due to the Feast of the Black Nazarene.

In a press briefing, city administrator Ericson Alcovendaz said work in the city's government offices will also be suspended following Mayor Joseph Estrada's Executive Order No. 1.

However, work in offices that are involved in the celebration will not suspended, Alcovendaz said. —Anna Felicia Bajo/KBK, GMA News
