Class suspensions for Tuesday, April 2, 2024 

Several schools and a local government unit suspended face-to-face classes on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, due to the hot weather.

Earlier, the Department of Education said some schools are implementing an alternative delivery mode (ADM) of learning to lessen the disruption of the weather conditions on the students.

Below are the class suspensions for Tuesday, April 2, 2024:

  • Dagupan City, Pangasinan: No face-to-face classes 
  • Mangaldan, Pangasinan
  • Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan
  • Mapandan, Pangasinan
  • Calasiao, Pangasinan
  • Quezon City: No face-to-face classes in all day care centers, alternative learning system, elementary and secondary levels (public); will shift to either asynchronous or synchronous classes
  • Muntinlupa City: morning classes to be shortened until 10 a.m. while afternoon classes are suspended in all public schools from kinder to senior high school including Child Development Centers under ECED
  • Caloocan City: afternoon classes in public schools (all levels except Grade 6 students taking the National Achievement Test) will shift to blended learning or alternative delivery mode
  • Navotas City

 

Albay

  • Polangui: No face-to-face classes

 

Bulacan

  • Calumpit: No face-to-face classes (Public, Daycare, Elementary, Secondary levels)
  • Malolos: No face-to-face classes (Public, Kindergarten to Grade 12)

 

Iloilo

  • Dumangas Pre-school to Senior High School (Public, Private)
  • Iloilo City: No face-to-face classes, preschool to senior high school (public and private)
  • Passi

 

Guimaras

 

Leyte

  • Maasin City: No face-to-face classes in Maasin Central School

 

Biliran

  • Municipality of Biliran

 

Negros Occidental

  • Bacolod City: No face-to-face classes (Public, alternative delivery modes for instructional methods). Private schools, tertiary schools own discretion.
  • Bago City: No face-to-face classes (All levels)
  • Binalbagan City: Public schools, all Levels
  • Cauayan: No face-to-face classes- (All levels, Public, Private)
  • E.B. Magalona: No face-to-face classes in all levels (public and private)
  • Himamaylan City: All levels (Public, Private)
  • Hinoba-an: All levels (Public, Private)
  • Isabela City: All levels
  • Kabankalan: No face-to-face classes (Public, Private, All levels)
  • Silay City: No face-to-face classes (Public, Private, All levels)
