Class suspensions for Tuesday, April 23, 2024


Face-to-face classes for Tuesday, April 23, 2024 have been suspended in some areas due to high heat conditions.

Below are the areas where face-to-face classes for Tuesday, April 23, have been suspended:

Pasay City: Due to expected 42°C Heat Index, face-to-face classes at all levels - both public and private- are suspended on April 23-24. Classes may shift to any alternative learning modality.

Quezon City: All public schools in Quezon City will continue to hold asynchronous classes on April 23, 2024, due to the expected temperature to reach 42°C with the warning "DANGER" announced by Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (QDRRMO), collected by the data of IriseUp System.

Pampanga:  No Face to Face Classes in All Levels, Public and Private Schools on April 23, 2024 -- allowing the conduct of online or any applicable alternative learning modality. According to San Fernando City Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag, the suspension is part of proactive measures against the continuing effects of the El Niño phenomenon, the hot dry season, and PAGASA's heat index forecast; Face to face classes are also suspended in Angeles City.

Cagayan: Face to face classes are suspended in the municipalities of Alcala and Gatttaran in Cagayan from pre-school to high school om April 23 due to the extreme heat forecast. Asynchronous Classes or Distance Learning will be held instead.

Nueva Ecija: Saint John Nepomucene Parochial School of Cabiao, Nueva Ecija announced no classes and no school operations on April 23 due to NEECO advisory of emergency power interruption. Regular school operations will resume on April 24.

Pangasinan: Dagupan City announces no face to face classes  in public schools from pre-school to senior high school on April 23 due to the heat index forecast of 44°C.

Albay: Albay Governor Edcel "Grex" Lagman said face to face classes are suspended on April 23 on all levels in public and private schools.
