Class suspensions for Tuesday, May 7, 2024

Face-to-face classes in some areas for Tuesday, May 7, 2024 have been suspended due to extreme heat conditions.

Schools in these areas have been advised to shift to asynchronous classes or alternative learning modalities.

In the areas where private schools are not specified, the suspension of in-person classes is left to the discretion of school authorities.

Metro Manila

• Pasay City - all levels, public and private (May 7-8)
• Quezon City - heat index may reach 41°C. Face-to-face classes in public schools are automatically suspended when the heat index reaches 40°C

Cities and municipalities

• Iloilo City - all levels, public and private. Schools with air-conditioned classrooms may choose to hold face-to-face classes
• Indang, Cavite - pre-school to senior high school, public (until May 10) 
• Masbate City - kinder to Grade 12, public
• Sta. Rosa, Laguna - elementary to high school, public (May 6-10)
• Umingan, Pangasinan - afternoon classes for pre-school to senior high school, public (May 6-31)
