Class suspensions due to tsunami advisory, Wednesday, July 30, 2025

Several local government units on Wednesday suspended classes and government work following a tsunami advisory issued by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology due to the magnitude 8.8 earthquake that hit the east coast of Kamchatka, Russia.

• Davao Oriental - public and private, elementary to college; work in government offices located in tsunami prone areas ; closure of tourism establishments and beach resorts

• Davao Occidental - all schools located in coastal barangays

• Panabo City, Davao del Norte - public and private, elementary and high school
