WALANG PASOK: Class, work suspension in Sultan Kudarat for Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026

Classes and work in the towns of Kalamansig and Lebak in the province of Sultan Kudarat have been suspended starting Wednesday, January 28, 2026, due to the series of earthquakes and possible aftershocks in the areas, according to a social media post by Governor Datu Pax Ali Mangudadatu.

In an advisory, the governor said the suspension will cover work and classes at all levels, in both public and private institutions, and will last until further notice "to ensure the safety of everyone."

"Residents of both municipalities are advised to remain alert, avoid staying in damaged or unstable structures, and prepare for possible aftershocks," it said.

"Please follow official advisories from the Provincial Government and local DRRM offices for updates," the advisory added.

Mangudadatu said the local government will issue an executive order on his directive.—LDF, GMA Integrated News
