Japan, Canada embassies closed on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday

The embassies of Japan and Canada in the Philippines will be closed on April 2 (Maundy Thursday) and April 3 (Good Friday) in observance of Holy Week.

In an advisory, the Embassy of Canada said its offices will be unavailable on the said dates. Canadian citizens in need of emergency assistance may call +1 (613) 996-8885 or email sos@international.gc.ca.

Meanwhile, state weather bureau PAGASA said several parts of the country may experience cloudy skies and brief rain showers during Holy Week due to the easterlies and the ridge of a high-pressure area.—MCG, GMA News
