Jennylyn Mercado declines to comment on Patrick Garcia's tell-all, asks bashing to stop

Jennylyn Mercado has opted to remain mum following Patrick Garcia tell-all about their breakup 18 years ago.

On Facebook on Wednesday, Jennylyn’s talent agency, Aguila Entertainment, released an official statement in response to Patrick's interview with Ogie Diaz.

“Everyone is entitled to share their story on whatever platform they choose. In this case, Jennylyn would rather not share her side of the story out of respect for the privacy and peace of mind of both her family and Patrick’s,” the statement read.

The agency also said that Jennylyn “will not comment or grant any interview” regarding the issue.

“Jennylyn asks the public to stop the hate and refrain from bashing Patrick’s family, especially his daughter, Michelle,” the statement added.

In his tell-all, Patrick claimed that he did not abandon Jennylyn during her pregnancy with their son, Jazz. Instead, he said he was not given the opportunity to be with her.

Jennylyn gave birth to Jazz in 2008.

In 2015, Patrick married Nikka Martinez. They have four children together: Michelle, Nicola, Francisca, and Enrique.

Meanwhile, Jennylyn got married to Dennis Trillo in 2021. They have a daughter named Dylan.
