'The Master Cutter' is gearing up for Season 2
“The Master Cutter” is gearing up for another season!
According to Athena Imperial’s report on “24 Oras” on Tuesday, the second season of the Kapuso action series will premiere on October 14.
“The ‘Master Cutter,’ ang mga anak ng sinulid, will continue for another full season, just for you,” Dingdong said in Filipino.
Dingdong also teased the new characters who will enter the series.
“Stay tuned for the characters who will be coming in—interesting characters who will either stir up trouble in our lives or help us out. You’ll get to meet them very, very soon,” he added.
Meanwhile, Max Collins said that the second season came as a surprise to the cast and the production staff.
“We didn't think there would be a Season 2. Of course, I mean, we were all hopeful, but we were already happy with Season 1," she said in a mix of Filipino and English.
“You’re going to see different sides of Audrey’s character," she added.
Sienna Stevens, on the other hand, is happy playing the role of Ibyang, as she gets to spend more time with her co-stars, with whom she has become close.
According to the young star she is close to her Tatoy (Dingdong) in the series.
“I thought ‘Master Cutter’ was coming to an end. I was sad. Then, all of a sudden, tada! I just hit the jackpot!” Sienna said in a mix of Filipino and English.
As the series is renewed for a second season, Dingdong said the love for family remains a key focus of the top-rating GMA Prime series.
“At the very heart of the story of 'The Master Cutter' is the Filipino family, even though it isn't a traditional one,” he said.
“The Master Cutter” airs weeknights at 8 p.m. on GMA Prime. It also streams on Netflix.
