Katseye's Sophia to resume group activities in January 2027

Sophia Laforteza will resume group activities with Katseye in the first week of January 2027.

On Weverse, HYBE and Geffen Records said Sophia has been prioritizing her health and well-being with the management’s full support and resources.

“While Sophia will not be participating in THE WILDWORLD TOUR in North America, or promotional activities for the remainder of this year, we look forward to welcoming her back as KATSEYE continues this next chapter together in 2027,” the announcement said.

The management also thanked the group's fans for their continued love, support, and understanding toward Sophia and Katseye.

“We are incredibly grateful to EYEKONS for the continued love, support, and understanding you’ve shown Sophia and KATSEYE. Thank you for standing by her, and we look forward to celebrating her return with you in the new year.”

Sophia's hiatus was announced on August 7.

Katseye debuted in 2023 with six members and visited Manila in 2024 for a fan showcase, appearances, and collabs.

In February, Manon went on hiatus, and two months later, she removed Katseye from her Instagram bio but said she remains in positive communication with music label HYBE and Geffen Records.
