Wowie De Guzman reflected on the car accident he figured in and thanked those who reached out to check on him.
On Facebook Tuesday, the actor and dancer described the incident as an accident that nobody wanted to happen, expressing gratitude that no one was hurt.
“Regarding what happened earlier, I just want to inform everyone that I am okay. I just woke up again. I went back to sleep because I was tired from the trip. I am okay and have no injuries,” Wowie said in Filipino.
Wowie also gave an update on his companions, Gerry Oliva and Paulo Gales Cabanero, saying they were also doing well.
“Upon checking on Gerry, he was okay. So far, he also hasn't felt anything. My friend Paulo, my director, road manager, and all-around assistant, is also okay. They are with their family,” he said.
He thanked those who reached out to check on him following the incident.
“I'm perfectly fine, so please don't worry, especially our community, which has been so concerned. Almost everyone has been calling me. Thank you, it's touching,” he said.
Wowie also reminded the public to stay safe on the road, describing the incident as an accident that nobody wanted to happen.
“Anyway, God bless. Let us all be careful. It was an accident that none of us wanted to happen. What matters is that I did not hurt anyone. Nothing bad happened to the three of us either. Let us just pray and give thanks that our Lord guided us,” he said.
On Tuesday morning, the car Wowie was driving crashed into a concrete barrier along Maharlika Highway in Sto. Tomas City, Batangas.
He said that he fell asleep while driving, causing his car to crash. Wowie sustained bruising on his thigh, while his two other companions in the vehicle were unharmed.
