Analyn Barro credits 'Bubble Gang' for being acting training ground

Analyn Barro is set to star in her first lead role in the film "He's Dating a Boldstar," and expressed her gratitude to “Bubble Gang” for being pivotal to her acting career.

In Athena Imperial's report on "24 Oras" on Wednesday, Analyn credited her experience as a mainstay in the Kapuso comedy gag show.

"'Bubble Gang' became my training ground," she said in a mix of Filipino and English.

Analyn will star "He's Dating a Boldstar" alongside Malupiton. It will be released in cinemas on October 28.

“Her dream is to become an actress. She can’t make it as an actress, so she became a boldstar first," she said of her character. "That was like her stepping stone."

Analyn added that her dad was shocked when he found out about the title of her movie, and asked if she was going to be a boldstar.

“I said, ‘Papa, no.’ Anyway, this is not a nude type of film,” she clarified.

“Bubble Gang” is celebrating its 31st anniversary this October. It airs every Sunday at 6:00 PM on GMA Network.
