AZ Martinez unbothered by old photos: 'Everyone has a glow-up stage'
AZ Martinez is not bothered when people bring up her old photos, saying she embraces her past appearance and is proud of her decision to go under the knife.
In an interview with "Chika Cart," AZ admitted to having her nose done and explained why seeing her old photos does not upset her.
"Honestly, I don't get annoyed when my old photos resurface because not much has really changed," she said in mixed English and Filipino.
"I think everyone goes through a glow-up stage," she added.
AZ said that enhancing her appearance is simply part of growing up and becoming more conscious of how she looks.
"I think everyone goes through a phase when they don't really care about their appearance," she said.
"Back then, I didn't care about how I looked, but now I do," she added. "I think that's normal, and it's fine."
The "Pinoy Big Brother" alum also said that her old photos hold sentimental value, as they remind her of her earlier achievements.
"I also had so many achievements when I was younger, so I don't want to let go of those photos," she said. "They're very important to me."
Meanwhile, AZ encouraged people to be more accepting of those who choose to undergo cosmetic enhancements.
"We shouldn't judge people for undergoing enhancements and we should empower them instead," she said. "It takes so much confidence and courage to go through something like that."
AZ stars in "Red Crown," now showing in cinemas.
Aside from AZ, the film brings together an all-star cast of beauty queens and actresses, including Sanya Lopez, Michelle Dee, Faith Da Silva, Ashley Ortega, Shuvee Etrata, Ahtisa Manalo, and Herlene Budol, among others. —MGP, GMA News
