GUESS: Which 'beauty and brains' Kapuso actress graduated cum laude from La Salle?

Kapuso actress Carla Abellana is a third generation showbiz star, with her grandmother Delia Razon and father Rey "PJ" Abellana paving the way for her entry into the industry.

But even before catching the acting bug, Carla was a pretty good student, graduating cum laude from De La Salle University-Manila with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.

Her yearbook entry reads: "This talented, hardworking, and attractive lady is a consistent Dean's Lister, but ironically she says she hates school. She is down-to-earth, responsible, and determined. This lady defines beauty without being pretentious or looking like she's trying. She's a genuine person to everyone she interacts with, lovers her family, friends, and above all, God. Carla is a truly blessed person and the epitome of beauty and brains. Carla has it all."

After college, Carla got her big break playing the title character in GMA-7's 2009 adaptation of "Rosalinda," a Mexican telenovel that originally starred Thalia.

She has gone on to star in several projects in movies and television, including the critically-acclaimed 2013 series "My Husband's Lover." —JST, GMA News
