Rachelle Ann Go bags role as Fantine in West End production of Les Miserables

After conquering the stage in the role of Gigi in the West End revival of "Miss Saigon," Rachelle Ann Go is set to join the cast of another prestigious musical.
The Filipina singer and stage actress bagged the role of Fantine in "Les Miserables," which like "Miss Saigon" is run by renowned theatrical producer Sir Cameron MacKintosh.

The development was announced on the production's official website.
Rachelle won multiple awards for her portrayal of Gigi, including the Whatsonstage Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical and Best Featured Actress in the BroadwayWorld West End awards.
She once again follows in the footsteps of Filipina stage superstar Lea Salonga, who portrayed Kim on "Miss Saigon" before starring as Eponine in "Miss Saigon" in 1993. — JST, GMA News
