Kita sa takilya ng Heneral Luna, inaasahang maaabot ang P200 milyon

Itinuturing na umanong highest grossing historical film ang Heneral Luna matapos tumabo sa takilya ng mahigit P172 milyon sa ikaapat na linggo ng pagpapalabas nito sa mga sinehan.

Sa isang Facebook post nitong Miyerkules ni Atty. Joji Alonso, distributor ng pelikula, nagpasalamat siya sa mga sumuporta sa pelikulang pinagbibidahan ni John Arcilla dahil ito na umano ang highest grossing historical film sa bansa.

Saad niya sa naturang post: "HENERAL LUNA, the highest grossing historical film --- opens in 96 theaters today --- as it starts its 4th week!!! the film started slow at the box office. but because of your generous support, the film has broken norms and patterns and the usual dwindling statistics as each week passes."

Pakiusap pa niya, "WE CONTINUE TO CALL ON ALL FILIPINOS, to help this film reach its break even point of 200M, so that the producers may have the resources to start its next film on another national hero. If you want to help some more, let us push this film further and help provide a kitty for its Oscar campaign, which needs $2M to make a decent run."

Mula sa mahigit P15 milyon na kita sa unang linggo ng pagpapalabas ng pelikula sa mga sinehan, tumaas ito sa P44 milyon sa ikalawang linggo. Naganap naman sa ikatlong linggo ang pinakamalaking pagtabo ng pelikula sa takilya na P104 milyon.

Sa pagpasok ng ikaapat na linggo, nasa mahigit P8.9 milyon na umano ang kinita ng Heneral Luna para sa kabuuang P172.347 milyon.

Sa isang post nitong Huwebes, umaasa si Atty. Alonso na maabot ng pelikula ang break-even point ng kita nito na P200 milyon sa pagtatapos ng linggo.
 
"HENERAL LUNA will screen in 112 theaters today with a total box office take of 172,347,581 as of last night. Now 27,652,419 left to reach the break even point of 200M!!! ?#‎SaturdayOctober3TheDay ?#‎HeneralLunaRoadTo200M?#‎RoadToOscars2016," saad ni Atty. Alonso.
