How AlDub caught the fancy of BBC's trending section

With the help of a rabid fandom on social media, AlDub fever has spread far beyond Philippine shores.

The phenomenal love team has been featured by several international media outlets, including BBC's Trending section.

In an interview on "24 Oras," the media outfit explained how AlDub caught their fancy.

"One day we saw this hashtag was trending at an epic rate, AlDub. We had no idea what it was. We looked in on it and it seemed to come from the Philippines. And then we worked out, caught it was this whole show Eat Bulaga, there's this whole wave, the pabebe, and we thought, 'That's really interesting,'" said Mukul Devinchand.
