Cherry Pie Picache takes witness stand at trial of mother's murder
Actress Cherry Pie Picache expressed gratitude for the swift wheels of justice after the killing of her mother, 75-year-old Zenaida Sison, last year.
An emotional Picache faced media on Thursday taking the witness stand during the trial. She said that it was a painful ordeal for her because she had to recount everything that had happened.
Michael Flores, the main suspect of the killing, is scheduled for sentencing on December 10, more than a year after the murder.
Sison was found dead with multiple stab wounds on September 29 in her house in Quezon City. Missing cash and jewelry led to the conclusion that it was part of a robbery.
Flores was arrested in Laguna on October 7 last year.
According to the actress, her family has already forgiven Flores, but she was firm in her decision to proceed with the case.
Flores must suffer the consequences of his actions so that he will change, she said. —Jessica Bartolome/JST, GMA News
