'My Bebe Love' director warns AlDub fans vs. MMFF ticket swapping

"My Bebe Love" director Joey Javier Reyes confirmed that there have  been incidents of ticket swapping during the film's premiere on Friday.

In a tweet, Direk Joey said that the film's producer told him that reports about fans who lined up to watch "My Bebe Love" and were given tickets to a different movie were true.

"My Bebe Love," a romantic comedy starring the phenomenal love team of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, opened in Philippine cinemas on Friday as part of the Metro Manila Film Festival. AlDub fans painstakingly lined up to buy tickets, which were immediately sold out in several cinemas.

However, some fans realized after watching the movie that they were given tickets to "Beauty and The Bestie" instead.

Netizen Monica Mapalo took to Twitter to report the incident.

The issue quickly spread across the AlDub Nation, and reports of similar incidents popped up on social media. "NO to MMFFTicketSwapping" trended on Twitter, taking the second spot on the trends list.

SM Cinema contacted Mapalo about incident, asking for details of when she watched the movie.

The company tweeted an apology to AlDub fans after receiving the complaints, saying that the mistake was due to the high demand for tickets. But the tweets were deleted soon afterwards.
