What Benjie Paras thinks of son Kobe's new girlfriend

While Kobe Paras' basketball career in the United States has been going well, the teenage phenom recently made headlines for a different reason.

Social media went abuzz when Kobe and his girlfriend Gabrielle Current posted photos of themselves being lovey-dovey.

But all seems well on Kobe's side of the family, as his dad Benjie Paras doesn't have any problem with the posts.

"Ganu'n naman po 'yun, very expressive at sa kanya pong mga relasyon at natutuwa naman ako at matino naman 'yung bata na nakilala ko," Benjie said in an interview on "24 Oras" on Monday.

The two-time PBA Most Valuable Player said he was able to meet Gabrielle when he last visited Kobe in Los Angeles.

Still, Benjie hopes that Kobe will always remember his priorities in life.

"Always remember what's the reason why you're there. It's not to have good time, it's for you to practice well, to improve well and to be ready for your college team," said Benjie when asked about his reminders for Kobe.
