Jessy Mendiola says FHM sexiest title is for all 'voluptuous women' like her

Isang patunay raw ang pagkapanalo ni Jessy Mendiola bilang Sexiest Woman of 2016 ng FHM Philippines na mayroong iba't ibang kahulugan ang pagiging sexy.

Sa press conference na naganap nitong Martes, sinabi ng aktres na lalo siyang naging confident nang matanggap ang pagkilala mula sa sikat na men's magazine.

“When FHM told me that I'm number one because of people who voted for me, I thought it was about time that we welcome something different. We always look at sexy as something (absolute)... Being exactly this and that, or looking like this,” aniya.

Dagdag pa niya, “Para sa akin, it's nice that someone like me, who is very curvy, won. I represent a different kind of sexy.”

Para kay Jessy, hindi basehan ang panlabas na anyo upang maituring na sexy dahil mas mahalaga raw na mayroong tiwala at pagmamahal sa sarili anoman ang hitsura at hubog ng katawan.

Paliwanag niya, “I think it's still about the personality and how you carry it. I think it's sexy when you know yourself and you know that you are strong enough to stand up for something.”

Kung ang dating sexiest woman raw na si Jennylyn Mercado ay nagbigay inspirasyon sa mga nanay, nais raw ni Jessy na magsilbi namang inspirasyon sa “voluptuous and curvy women.”

“There are other types of sexy, at ngayon, nakikita na nila 'yun... For me, winning this is a perfect venue to send a message—being is not about just one look. Let's all be healthy. Let's all be the better versions of ourselves,” pagtatapos ng aktres. —JST, GMA News
