Sheena Halili struck by humility of both Alden and Maine

After having initial taping sessions with Maine Mendoza for the much-anticipated "Destined to Be Yours," Kapuso actress Sheena Halili figures they will be fast friends.

"Si Maine actually...twice ko pa lang siya nakasama pero alam mo yun, parang nagja-jive na yung group namin," Sheena said in an interview before renewing her contract with GMA Network on Thursday.

"Sana soon makabuo talaga ng friendship. Sinabi ko nga, mangyayari yun eh. Kung magiging magkaibigan kayo, magiging magkaibigan kayo. Walang dapat pilitin, mangyayari at mangyayari yun," she added.

Sheena said she was delighted to have the opportunity to work with the Kalyeserye star, along with her onscreen partner Alden Richards.

They will all be starring in the new series where Sheena will play the role of Maine's best friend.

The actress said that she was humbled by Maine and Alden's unassuming nature.

She said that her first taping with them were in a muddy location and they all had to huddle in a tent because it rained. However, neither star so much as frowned.

"Yung first taping ko...maputik yung location namin. Umulan, super umulan talaga. Pero nakakatuwa kasi walang nagrereklamo," she shared.

"Si Maine, si Alden, isa sa pinaka-humble na tao na nakilala ko. Nakakahiyang mag-inarte kasi sila hindi nag-iinarte kahit umuulan, kahit maputik," she added. —JST, GMA News
