Aljur and Kylie confirm pregnancy

Aljur Abrenica and Kylie Padilla have confirmed that they are expecting their first child, days after their engagement became public.

The couple made the revelation in an interview with PEP.ph.

They also revealed that they've been living together since November.

Kylie said she figured out that she was pregnant even before they confirmed it with a test at St. Luke's Hospital.

“Actually, before the pregnancy test, alam ko na," she said.

"Kasi very aware ako sa katawan ko."

Aljur called the news of their pregnancy a "blessing."

“Ayun ang nakakatuwa kasi… masaya, kasi blessing yun, e," he said. “Sino ba naman ang hindi sasaya na nagkaroon ka ng anak, bilang isang lalaki, sa babaeng mahal na mahal mo?" 

Engaged since November

Aljur also clarified that the two of them were engaged even before they got news that she was pregnant.

“Kailangan masabi 'to, e, dahil sa mga lumabas na balita—engagement, bago ‘yan, pagbubuntis, engagement..." he said.

"Before pa nangyari ang lahat ng ito, before pa nangyari ang rumors tungkol sa pregnancy at pagbabatikos sa aming dalawa, meron nang engagement na nangyari."

He said the proposal happened during their Japan trip last November, where they went to the Tokyo Disney Sea resort.

In the same interview, Kylie noted that she posted a photo on Instagram to mark the occasion.

After coming home to the Philippines, Aljur said he proposed again to Kylie.

“Nag-propose ako sa kanya, tapos pagdating namin sa Pilipinas, pag-uwi namin, we’ve decided na tumira sa iisang bahay," he said.

"Kasi, para makita namin kung compatible kami sa isa’t isa." —JST, GMA News
