Matt surprised Vaness with an intimate engagement party, attended by some of Vaness'  closest friends in GMA, including  GMA SVP for Entertainment Lilybeth Rasonable, SVP for Alternative Productions Gigi Santiago-Lara, and fellow actors Carla Abellana and Iya Villania.

Her fiance gave her a black diamond ring instead of the usual rock, which took him months to find. Matt said he believes a regular one is not enough to express his love for Vaness.
