'Lucky' Benjamin Alves paired with both Sunshine Cruz and Bea Binene in upcoming show

Benjamin Alves has a unique challenge in his upcoming show on GMA-7, "Karibal Ko Ang Aking Ina," where he will play the love interest of both Sunshine Cruz and Bea Binene.

At a story conference for the series on Wednesday, Benjamin said he was excited to meet the challenge head on.

"I'm lucky for my character, yun nga eh, with Miss Sunshine and Bea, both people that I haven't worked with yet, I've known before but I haven't worked with yet," said Benjamin.

"It's always nice to work with somebody new, in that sense, Direk will also challenge us for the show, we're a cast and a production team who likes challenges," he added.

"Karibal Ko Ang Aking Ina" will also star Zoren Legaspi, Bing Loyzaga, and Tsinoy hunk David Licauco.

David said he relishes the chance to be in a series anew after debuting in Mulawin vs. Ravena.

"Super excited ako, si Bea, everyone, because this is my second soap after Mulawin, and nung Mulawin 'di pa ako ganon ka interested sa pag-a-arte, ngayon I guess it's my time to show everyone na marunong na ako umarte or at least man lang mag-improve," David said.

"And siyempre gusto ko meron akong matutunan kila Zoren, Sunshine, sila Bea, 'yun, can't wait to work," he added.

He will portray as a Filipino-Chinese model, a social media influencer and Bea's best friend who will eventually fall in love with her. —JST, GMA News
