Barbie Forteza and Jak Roberto's secret to keeping their relationship rock solid
It's been almost a year since Kapuso couple Barbie Forteza and Jak Roberto surprised everyone about their not-so secret romance, and since then, their relationship has grown stronger than ever.
At the Vivo V9 Mall Tour in SM North EDSA Annex on Sunday, GMA News Online chanced upon Barbie for a backstage chat where she shared how she and Jak maintain their rock solid relationship.
Barbie said it's an advantage that they are in the same career path, making it easier for them to understand each other's demanding schedules.
"I think it's a plus na pareho kaming artista kasi naiintindihan namin 'yong trabaho namin. Like sometimes 'yong schedule masyadong hectic, siyempre hindi naman kami magka-partner, pareho kaming may ibang love team, pareho nagkaka-intindihan naman kami doon sa part na 'yon," Barbie shared.
Barbie mentioned that important events are sometimes missed, but for them, missing out on these isn't that big of a deal.
"Even if may mga special occasions or memorable day para sa 'ming dalawa and hindi kami puwede magkasama kasi pareho nga kaming may work, naiintindihan din namin 'yon. I think malaking bagay na pareho kami ng trabaho kasi naiintindihan namin pareho 'yong isa't isa."
When asked how long they have been officially dating she kept mum and said, "Basta I think, I never expected us to last this long."
In one of the Instagram posts of Barbie's sister Gabrielle in November 19, 2017, she posted a photo of Barbie and Jak and greeted them a "Happy 6th month."
"Ate, ang saya ko!" Happy 6 months! Kailangan umabot kayo next year dahil may utang pang buffet sakin yan si Pandy," Gabrielle wrote.
Next travel adventure with Jak
Just a month ago, Jak and Barbie had a quick getaway in Palawan, where they showed off their beach-ready body, but it's never too soon to start planning new adventures. Barbie said they are already planning to have another one this time with her older sister Gabrielle who's coming home to the Philippines on May.
"Uuwi 'yong sister ko this coming May hopefully, makasama si Jak 'pag nagbakasyon din kami, pero we're still thinking where, sana magkaroon siya ng time, para magkakasama ulit kami, kasi masaya 'yung Coron trip namin,
She said they are still thinking where to go around in the Philippines, "Around the Philippines lang naman, hindi kasi kaya, ano rin ako may taping din ako so di ako pwede magbakasyon ng matagal."
