Aicelle Santos's rival in talent show is all praises for 'Miss Saigon' star

Who would have thought that the former rivals in the Kapuso singing competition Pinoy Pop Superstar will be reunited in the UK tour of Miss Saigon.

Aicelle Santos competed with Gerald Santos in the grand finals of the Kapuso show hosted by Regine Velasquez-Alcasid in 2006 wherein Gerald was declared winner.

Now, he plays Thuy in the popular musical while the Kapuso Diva bagged the role of Gigi.

Gerald posted this heartwarming message for former rival-turned-good friend, Aicelle.

He said, “So happy to finally open with the New Cast of Miss Saigon UK Tour! Bring on Year 2! And who would have thought that i'd be reunited with this one?! Dito pa sa UK!! @aicellesantos i'm really so happy to be working with you here in Saigon! You nailed it tonight!! And of course to my whole Saigon Fam you smashed it guys! Congratulations to all of us!!”
