Klea Pineda chooses ‘Ika-5 Utos’ over beauty pageants
"Ika-5 Utos" star Klea Pineda is putting a hold on her plans to join pageants and is focusing on her new afternoon prime series and showbiz career first.
At the press conference of "Ika-5 Utos" on Monday evening, Klea said she has already met people who will be helping her train for the Binibining Pilipinas pageant, but said she will focus on one thing at a time for now.
"Nakapagmeeting na po kami with them, kasi hindi pa po nasabi kailan pa start 'yong training kasi habang may show pa naman po."
She said if she were to join a pageant, she has to give up her showbiz career — which she isn't ready to do just yet.
"Kailangan po kasi full time if ever sasali na po talaga ako, so kailangan ko po i-give up ang showbiz, e ayoko pa pong gawin yun."
The aspiring beauty queen hasn't made secret her desire to join pageants. January of this year, she said she wanted to start training and join the actual pageant while she's in her early 20s.
At the same event, she said she makes sure she knows her lines by heart before taking scenes with veteran actors.
"Siyempre nando'n pa rin 'yong pressure and 'andon pa rin 'yong kaba kapag nakakaeksena mo 'yong mga beteranong artista, kasi po magkapatid po kami ni Migo... kada eksena po namin nasa isip ko kailangan memorize ko 'yong lines ko ayoko mag-buffer, kahit rehearsals, ayoko mag-buffer kasi ayoko mapahiya sa set."
Klea will star in "Ika-5 Utos" as part of the Buenaventura family as Clarisse (Valerie Concepcion) and Emil's (Tonton Gutierrez) daughter.
"Ika-5 Utos" will begin to air on September 10 replacing Contessa. — AT, GMA News
